STAND UP IN THE LIGHT !

A bird of paradise is on ambience radio
i make the most of it while resting in the clink
i promote all my phantoms
and blessed be thy chess game
but be sure to put all my pieces back inside my box

the fink was blue till he made his fridge full and
now he cant remember where he put his sad song fuel
songs with no verse rang out and championed the snobs
made them feel like they were right up there with the hob-knobs
Police crashed the bungelow and doctors all fled
taxman sex scam both are in the red
they took a rest from the mania
of treasure-chest Albania
and loosened up the tie on the dead sales man

No engine just a space on flights where you can sleep
ten K below the chief, too skint to make a meal
beside the sunny sidewalk a lovely daisy grows
but fast or feast im too lean on luxury
coz my posterior monsterior is fruit and camenbert
vino, cappachino with a marshmello

If i stand up in the light will a rasta eat my hat?
How can you justify feeding caviar to a cat?
chatting to the mutes on the run
forget your boots and guns
bare bones, hot sun
back to face the music alone !
